The guide is neatly divided into six color-coded chapters representing broad geographic regions, including: Great North Woods, White Mountains, Lakes Region, Upper Valley and Monadnock Highlands, Lower Merrimack Valley and the Seacoast. For each preserve or conservation area, you will find lots of great information including public access, location, acreage protected, special natural features, wildlife, trail mileage and ratings (easy, moderate, strenuous) and when to visit, along with maps, photos and narrative descriptions of the biodiversity features, land protection history and scenic areas, and notes on directions and parking.
