When he later goes missing, Kendra believes foul play is involved and enlists the aid of former FBI agent Adam Lynch in her search for Charles. The danger that Kendra and Adam face increases dramatically as they get closer to the truth, as does the attraction between the two. The plot builds to a stunning conclusion.
